Godzilla is a fictional Japanese monster from the 1954 film of the same name. The character is the subject of a number of films, comics, and video games. Futurama has referenced it a few times.
References to Godzilla in Futurama
- In "Anthology of Interest I", a giant Zoidberg destroys New New York, referencing Godzilla.
- In "The Route of All Evil", Hermes' son shows him a newspaper on which there is a Godzilla-like creature on a podium. The headline is "SPACE MONSTER TO CITY: GRRRRR".
- In "Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television", Calculon says that he has seen acting better than Bender's from extras in Godzilla movies.
